Preliminary Call for Papers: North Carolina, USA in September 2016

Another upcoming conference we are looking forward to is the Global Communication Association Conferene in North Carolina, USA on 29th/30th September 2016.

It will be organized by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and supported by Elon University, High Point University, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and University of North Carolina at Greensboro

The conference theme and topics are: Changing Global Discourse and Discord: Education, Communication, Media, and Social Responsibility

The divisions include topics like

  • Advantages and disadvantages of the Internet
  • Human interaction in the information age
  • Virtual environments: challenges and opportunities
  • Open source publications

  • Global problems and conflicts
  • Journalism: professionalism, safety, and responsibility
  • Education in the digital age
  • Social media revolution

Submissions guidelines

Academicians, policy makers, corporate executives, media professionals, representatives from NGOs and research scholars are invited to contribute papers on topics related to the theme of the confer­ence. A 400-word abstract of the paper should be sent, preferably as an email attachment, by March 30, 2016. The abstract should include research objectives, methodology and significance, followed by keywords. The abstracts will be refereed. All scholarly methodologies are welcome. Author’s full name, academic institution, mailing address, phone number, email address, and a brief biography must be included on a separate page. Authors of the abstracts will be notified of acceptance by April 30, 2016.

Length and settings

The full length paper should be 4000-5000 words, 1.5 line spacing and Times New Roman 12-point size. Margins should be set at 1.0″ on all sides. Paper size should be set for standard 8.5×11. The American Psychological Association (APA) style must be used for referencing.

Conference location

The conference will take place in the conference rooms of the Sheraton Hotel in Greensboro, North Caro­lina. Room availability is based on a first-come-first-served concept. Therefore, participants are en­couraged to register for the conference as early as possible. A limited number of hotel rooms at a re­duced conference price will be available. There are many tourist attractions in Greensboro ( and the surrounding areas that conference attendees may wish to visit either before or after the conference.

Conference accommodations

The Sheraton Hotel in Greensboro will accommodate conference members. Participants are free to book their hotel rooms directly but must inform the conference planning members accordingly.

Travel arrangements

There are daily flights from major cities in the United States to Greensboro’s Piedmont Triad Interna­tional Airport. International travelers may fly from Chicago, Washington, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Ange­les, Houston and other major cities into Greensboro. Upon arrival at the local airport (PTI), a confer­ence shuttle service will transport participants to the conference hotel.

Conference registration fees

An attractive and favorable package (including lodging, RT airport transportation, hors-d’oeuvre, and conference fees) will be offered to all participants. Graduate students, presenting papers, will be given a 50% registration discount.
